2026 June Thought Notes: The Pushing-Away Comes Before the Reason for Pushing Away

Prologue: A slack surface, and high density underneath In June I came back from Laos to Shenzhen. If you only look at the state, this was a slack month. What it looked like in practice — I would only come alive after dark, stay up to two or three a.m. every night, lulled to sleep by one short video clip after another. Waking up in the day to Shenzhen’s gray-white sky, I could not even gather the strength to leave the apartment. I told myself it was the weather, but inside I knew it was not just that. Every day I bargained with myself: tomorrow I will wake early, I will be disciplined, I will start working — and the next day I lost again to that version of me curled up in bed. The body felt empty, not tired-empty but hollowed-out-and-idling-empty. There were many bothers, but I could not point at any specific one. ...

2026 May Thought Notes: On the Edge, I Recognize Myself Through Action

Prologue: A May Without flomo For the entire month of May, I did not write a single flomo note. I barely posted to my feed either. This was not laziness. It was a conscious decision. I had already decided on April 30 that I would stop. The reason is simple: I no longer felt I needed it. Or more accurately — could it have a better form? I want to use my own product. It is not perfect yet, but I want to fully think through and ship the thing I have in my head. The remaining steps are few. It is close. ...

Wandering & Growing: 2025-2026 Annual Review

On the edge of a cliff, all logic fails. Only intuition can connect with the world. I wrote this sentence one night in Lhasa. Finding it now, I feel it can serve as the entry point to this review. Over these past fourteen months, I’ve been living on the edge of cliffs — almost literally. Encountering ice slopes on ACT mountain trails with drops beside me; every step at the altitude of Genie Sacred Mountain requiring all my strength; riding a motorcycle around the outer circle of Angkor Wat for three days with a splitting headache, yet not stopping. But I also know that those “cliffs” were more often internal. They were the cosmic-level monologues in one’s own mind after getting drunk late at night in a foreign country, with the world fading into the background. They were that night in Shenzhen, standing under DJI’s light beams, feeling like I hadn’t even reached the starting line. They were a certain morning at the end of 2025, suddenly realizing that exploration itself no longer provided enough traction, without knowing where the next fulcrum would be. ...

August 2025 Thought Notes The Unexamined Life and Game Theory Applications August 1st, 2025 - 07:23:45 Socrates said “the unexamined life is not worth living.” But what does examination actually require in practice? Self-examination isn’t just introspection—it’s systematic analysis of our own patterns, motivations, and decision-making processes. Like debugging code, but for consciousness. Game theory as a lens for life decisions: Every interaction can be understood as a game with players, strategies, and payoffs. But unlike abstract economic models, real-life “games” involve: ...

2025 July Thought Notes

July 2025 Thought Notes Vibe Coding: Are Human Experiences the Shackles of AI Agents? July 1st, 2025 - 11:39:24 In Agent development, “The Bitter Lesson” remains equally important. Excessive human experience injection might actually limit AI performance and lock in product possibilities. Embrace Agent Patterns: Agent mode is mature; what we need is training agents’ thinking patterns. We can focus more on ideas and design, becoming architects rather than coders. Beware Over-Prescription: Excessive rule-setting (like fixed testing processes) may prevent AI from utilizing the latest model capabilities. We should let AI self-select more often. Context-Dependent Experience: Experience has scenario dependency. Over-reliance on experience constrains LLM performance; moderate injection as “heuristic guidance” is sufficient. This insight challenges traditional software engineering approaches in the AI era. The “bitter lesson” teaches us that general methods leveraging computation ultimately outperform human-designed heuristics. In agent development, this means resisting the urge to over-engineer constraints based on our past experiences. ...

2025 May Thought Notes

May 2025 Thought Notes AI-Era Independent Development: Frontend as the Main Battlefield for Value Delivery May 1, 2025 - 10:22:06 In the AI era, the battlefield of independent development is shifting toward the frontend. The transformation is evident: Backend Simplification: AI models turn core services into universal capabilities, lowering technical barriers in backend development. SaaS and PaaS providers encapsulate vast foundational capabilities that developers can directly invoke. Frontend as Value Delivery Nexus: The frontend is closest to users, making it easier to focus on MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and single-person product loops. Using a tech stack like Next.js / Tailwind / Firebase / Vercel enables full-stack delivery and rapid validation of the “function → value → growth” chain. From “Building” to “Integration”: Databases, permissions, storage, and model calls are becoming platformized (such as Supabase, LangChain, Replicate). Independent developers no longer need to write backend from scratch—they just need to “integrate.” AI decouples “intelligence” from the backend, making the frontend the true battlefield where users are closest, changes are most significant, and value is most concentrated. ...

How AI agents rebuilt a 120-post Hugo blog with a human editor

How AI Agents Rebuilt My 120-Post Blog From Scratch

What actually happened here How large a team does it take to rebuild a four-year-old blog with 120+ posts — content architecture, operations, all of it? My answer, delivered over the first half of this year: one person and a crew of agents with clearly divided jobs. “Crew” is a working metaphor, not a fixed headcount of digital employees. As of July 2026, the repository contains seven Claude skills and four workflows whose names begin with seo-; Claude Code, Codex, the Claude jobs inside GitHub Actions, and temporary review sessions are started only when a task calls for them. The human owns judgment, boundaries, and the final signature. Agents own scoped work that can be tested. The result is the site you’re reading — cubxxw.com . It isn’t merely a redesign. It turned “a blog” from a static site into a system that generates a daily report, prepares fix proposals, and exposes its own search interface. ...

GEO Blog Rebuild Case Study: Running the Five-Layer Model on Real Data

The answer first: a clean technical audit was not the same as demand In July 2026, I put the previous four chapters’ five-layer GEO model against my own blog. The useful result was not “technical SEO is perfect.” It was narrower: The tested homepage passed every Lighthouse SEO audit, while a three-month Search Console snapshot showed 878K impressions and only 852 clicks. Once I segmented the data, most clicks came from a small technical core, while many impressions came from unrelated long-tail queries. ...

GTD and the Quadrant Method Practice

GTD and the Quadrant Method Practice During the New Year holidays, I spent a lot of time reflecting. Alongside the growth and many merits over the past year, I also identified several shortcomings: Lack of proactive thought on prioritizing tasks A tendency to actively solve issues without much focus Difficulty in concentrating on completing specific TODOs Whenever I review my tasks, despite their number, I often feel a lack of clear judgment and thorough consideration. Sometimes, I might engage in a task because it seems crucial at the moment or out of a knee-jerk reaction, without truly assessing its priority or importance. This habit not only impacts my work efficiency but also prevents me from deep thinking and planning opportunities, which I aim to improve in the coming year. ...

Go Directives & Automation Tools Deep Dive

These go: instructions in the Go source code && go automation tools Developers have a strong tendency to automate repetitive tasks, and this also applies to writing code. Boilerplate code may include operations such as setting up a basic file structure, initializing variables, defining functions, or importing libraries or modules. In some cases, packages provide boilerplate code as a starting point for developers to build from, typically generated after the code behavior has been configured. Although boilerplate code may be necessary and valuable to application functionality, it can also be wasteful and redundant. For this reason, there are many tools that minimize boilerplate code. go generate is a command line tool for the Go programming language that allows automatic code generation. You can use go generate to generate easily modifiable code specific to your project, making the tool powerful at reducing boilerplate. go generate This command is usually used to automatically generate code before compilation. It can be used to create repetitive or patterned code, thereby saving time and reducing errors. Think about it, in what situations would this be particularly useful? 🤔 ...

2023 Annual Summary Reflections and Aspirations

My 2023 Annual Summary As 2023 swiftly draws to a close, my university life is nearing its end with just half a year remaining. A friend once said, “What’s frightening is not losing your passion for work, but never being able to find it again.” This year, I encountered many people and experienced numerous events, gradually shaping my world view. I’m fond of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and often reflect on my own state through it. I enjoy challenges, both in my work and hobbies (like hiking, cycling…). It seems I’ve successfully fulfilled the first four levels of Maslow’s theory: physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, and esteem needs. I’m probably at the stage of self-actualization needs. However, it’s worth mentioning that while Maslow’s theory is hierarchical, human needs aren’t always linear or fixed. For instance, someone at the self-actualization stage might still encounter needs from other levels at different times. If a person loses their job or faces financial difficulties, they may refocus on safety needs like financial security and stability. Similarly, the end of a close relationship or changes in one’s social network might reignite a desire for social needs. Even in everyday life, when we fall ill or feel hungry, our focus might temporarily shift from higher-level needs like self-actualization to physiological needs. ...
